I custom designed this minimalist buffet cabinet as an anchor to our Chicago based client's dining room. It will provide a minimal, yet highly detailed, background to their dining room table.
The interiors of the cabinets feature equally stunning solid Claro Walnut. We designed reveals for the backs of the cabinets to allow the solid wood to breathe for generations to come. Each cabinet door features European soft close hardware in a polished nickel finish.
Crafted of solid, highly figured California Claro Walnut, the grain flows across each cabinet top and each cabinet face. The cases feature hand cut dovetail joinery for generations of strength.
To provide a contrast to the warm hues in the wood, we used a torch to char/burn the wood, creating a gorgeous, even blackened surface that maintained the natural texture and visibility of the wood grain.
